Favicons for Everyone!

If Google can change their favicons, so can we.. You may have noticed that Google has a new favicon, the small icon you see in your browser next to the URL or in your bookmarks list.

Google wanted to develop a set of icons that would scale better for new platforms like the iPhone and other mobile devices.

Now, favicons have always been a pain in the butt for the average jo-blo to create. Well, not any more. FavIcon from Pics is a free service that will convert any image into a favicon.

Simply select a picture, logo or other graphic for the ‘Source Image’ and click ‘Generate FavIcon.ico’ How easy it that! You can even animate the favicon and add scrolling text.

Don’t you just hate being told you have to login before you can view a web site!

Well Bugmenot.com is your answer..

STEP 1: Make a note of the website address your are trying to access.
For example: http://www.onlysydney.com.au/

STEP 2: Visit www.bugmenot.com

STEP 3: Enter the address from step 1 into the box and press the “Get Logins” button

STEP 4: You should now be presented with at least one username and password.

STEP 5: Go back to the site and login with the username and password.

With any luck you should be able to access your article now!
